Initial Design: The overall design of an Internet or Intranet site requires through analysis and planning of the features, functions and artistic components of the site. This is the process of defining the content and the "look and feel" that users will view. It includes the site's structural components as well as the design and placement of logos, graphics, color schemes, and site navigation features that give users an efficient and pleasant Internet experience. We work closely with our clients to create an image that reflects their established "brick and mortar" reputation, or other business-appropriate ambiance.

The design phase typically culminates in development of a prototype web page that serves to validate the design and often functions as the web site's home page. Because the scope of individual sites varies widely, and the look and feel depends on the client's personal taste, it is particularly difficult to estimate the cost of site design. Therefore, CDG's design services are billed on a time and materials basis at $75 per hour.

 

Once the design has been established, subsequent development activities are based on the structure required to present and maintain the site's content. Common structures include:

All other development activities, including initial design, graphic artistry, scanning of images, photography, additional programming, etc, are billed at an hourly rate of $75.
